POLICY

Payment:
Payment is due on the first of each month via cash, check, or electronic payment form that has been agreed upon. One reminder message will be sent on the second of the month if it has not been paid. Although you pay monthly, I expect each student to commit to taking for a full semester.

Recital Fee:
I organize and direct seasonal recitals in which my students participate. The main aim of these recitals is for each student to showcase his or her vocal growth and achievement. I do not financially benefit from these recitals, and feel that the recital experience is imperative to the individual growth of my students. In order to secure the recital space and or musicians a recital fee will be charged. These fees vary, but will not be more than $20.

Lessons:
Lessons are held once per week. I do not offer bi-monthly lessons. (Please contact me if you are looking for “tune-up” lessons as you prepare for auditions, etc.)

Virtual Lessons:
Please contact me for info.

Attendance:
I expect students to consistently attend lessons because it is the best way to progress as a musician. However, if unforeseen circumstances arise, I adhere to this policy:

  • Lesson Canceled by Student/Parent – I will make up only 1 lesson per semester that is canceled with 24 hour notice. A specific “Make-Up Day” option will be scheduled on my calendar late in the semester which students can use if they choose to take advantage of that opportunity. Payment remains the same either way. No make-up will be given for no-shows or tardiness.
  • Lesson Canceled by Teacher – If I have to miss a lesson with a student, I will reschedule it at the student’s convenience. If, for some reason, we cannot make up a lesson, payment from that lesson will be credited towards the next month’s bill.

What to Expect at your first lesson:
The first lesson will give us a time to get to know each other better. I will hear your voice and we will discuss your goals, as well as details about what will be expected in order for you to reach those goals.

Please sign and print this page and bring it to your first lesson.
